Holy Cross called Scott Thompson to lead the congregation as Senior Rector in late 2007. He celebrated his first Sunday at Holy Cross on March 9, 2008. Scott, previously rector of New Life Episcopal Church in Mosinee, Wisconsin, is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. His first love was music and he had a desire to play the drums as a professional musician in a rock band. He became focused on full-time ministry in his mid-teens and received his BA in Biblical Studies from Grace School of Theology in 1986, and a master of theology from the Dallas Theological Seminary in 1991. He received a certificate in Anglican studies from Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary in 1999.
Scott and his wife, Linda, and daughter Victoria, 10, live in the Sugar Land area. Scott's enjoys spending time with his family, singing, playing the guitar and drums, reading, running, weightlifting, and riding his motorcycle, but his passion is the local church and seeing lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Drew Hays came to Holy Cross from Memphis, Tennessee, as Director of Music and Worship Arts in 2001. He previously developed and led the music ministry of Heartsong UMC in 1998, which was a church plant in suburban Memphis. In 1991, under the leadership of Dr. Maxie Dunnam, Drew was part of a team commissioned to develop the first contemporary service at Christ United Methodist Church, one of the largest Methodist churches in the country. The success of the 9:45 service led to the development of the first Saturday night Seeker Service in Memphis, quickly growing to 1,000 in attendance. Drew studied music at the University of Memphis and audio engineering through the Recording Institute of America at Ardent Recording Studios in Memphis. He spent many years in the recording industry and is a former RCA Recording Artist, recording engineer, producer, and songwriter, having contributed to several CD projects over the years.
Drew and his wife, Lisa, have traveled to Russia for mission work. They live in the Sugar Land area.
Nyal Witham, Director of Youth Ministries

Nyal Witham joined Holy Cross in 2007 as Director of Youth Ministries. Nyal's unique gift and passion for youth, and his love for Jesus Christ, empower him to have a meaningful impact upon the lives of the youth in our community. Nyal relates to the youth in a special way with his energy and determination to lead youth through the difficult stages of teen years. He is passionate about building God's Kingdom by teaching, encouraging, and strengthening the youth through the Gospel message so that they will boldly take their faith into young adulthood.
Nyal's passion for serving others is evident through his love of mission work. He actively participates in numerous mission opportunities and projects, including several trips to Guatemala during the summer.
Nyal currently attends the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas, where he is working towards a Bachelors Degree in church leadership and biblical studies. Nyal and his wife, Lori, have two children, Luke and Clare. They live in the Sugar Land area.
