Awakenings Men's Ministry
The Awakenings Men's Ministry at Holy Cross meets every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. for study, discussion and fellowship. The members are deeply committed to this time together and to each other. Men's ministry studies the most pressing issues for men today, including programs such as the Every Man's Challenge Series. The group has also studied the Episcopal tradition with The Discovery Series from the Diocese of Texas.
Their service to the church includes taking responsibility for helping with "heavy lifting" projects, cooking at events including the fish fry, crawfish boil, etc. and other needs that arise. Every few months the men cook a huge breakfast to celebrate the end of a series and kick-off the next one. These breakfasts are legendary...great men, grub great and great time
This group is open to all men in the community and you do not have to be a member of Holy Cross to participate. Stop by on any Saturday morning at 8:00 am for some coffee, donuts and fellowship!
