New to Holy Cross? Begin here...

             We welcome all!

Your family will like it here.

Holy Cross worship is an Episcopal, contemporary and biblically-based experience using styles that glorify God and are relevant to the interests of the Sugar Land community.  You will find our new Rector Scott Thompson to be uplifting, dynamic, engaging and spirit-filled with a powerful message that will make a real impact on your life. You can listen to  podcasts of past sermons from Scott on this website. Our music appeals to every age as our CrossWind music ministry plays today's music, drawing from all of the great praise songs and contemporary Christian artists of today.  To make the worship experience easier and more enjoyable for all  at Holy Cross you can also read the prayers and sing the music off the large screens, an experience you will come to love.

Our extensive and dynamic youth education programs range from a complete nursery at every service, Kids Church for K-5th all the way through our Vertical EYC groups for teens. Holy Cross has a full-time staff of a Rector, Worship and Music Director, and Youth Director to ensure our worship and programs fulfill our mission and the needs of the congregation. Visit us any Sunday in Sugar Land at the entrance to Riverpark on the Grand Parkway, all are welcome....

Other important things to know...

Communion

All baptized Christians are welcome to receive  communion in the Episcopal Church.  If you have not yet been baptized but would like to receive a blessing, simply join the others at the time of communion placing your hands over your chest in the shape of an “X.”  This will indicate to the rector that you are desiring a blessing rather than communion and he will bless you with the sign of the cross and in God’s name:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Holy Cross Loves Kids!...

New Playground in August, 2008

We have just installed a fantastic new playground for your kids with a special play unit for younger kids and one for older kids. This meets all the safety guidelines of the State of Texas and is of park-like quality and construction. Come to a worship service and then sit down with a cup of Starbucks on one of our new park benches and watch your kids have a blast at church! Warning, now your kids will be dragging you to church!

Newborn through Pre-school

We offer a place where caring adults ensure a safe environment for your little ones. If you prefer to keep them with you in the service, please be mindful of those around you if they become fussy. The service can be easily viewed and heard in the Gathering Space for your comfort and convenience as well.

Kids’ Church (K-5th) (10:00 a.m. Music, 10:45 a.m. Kids Church)

Starting in early September, 2008 will be running a very exciting multimedia kids christian education program for K-5 called KIDMO.
